What Sold Before, Didn’t Sell This Time

At my first craft fair it was the Swifties who showed their support and walked away with 5 of my water bottles, accounting for 75% of my sales. I was pretty pumped and made more in anticipation that at my next Holiday Craft Fair in Staten Island would yield similar results.
I eagerly arrived at my next Holiday Craft fair. This time I limited the overall number of items, focused on what I thought would be best. Teacher Tumblers, Nurse Water Bottles, and much more but I took the learnings from the last fair...more Swiftie focused water bottles. I was ready for the shoppers to swoop up bottles and tumblers honoring their favorite pop star. But what sold before didn’t sell this time.
All in I made about 7 sales, which is a positive if you ask me! How many swifties sold??? None. Nada. Zero. Zip!! It was crazy, I was baffled, and a surprised. I looked around at the craft fair attendees.
Most were older folks, not many kids or young families. It was definitely an older crowd who weren't looking for Swift, Super Mario, Grinch or any other pop culture items. They came for the teacher gifts. The nurse gifts.
Either way, I'm just happy some stuff sold. I made a lot and I mean A LOT of other tumblers and water bottles for the first event. Now I have lots the inventory and need to sell it at discounted rates on Etsy, eBay, and this site.
